EV CHARGING COMPONENTS
Custom Plastic Housings for EV Charging Components
Injection molded housings designed for electrical interfaces, environmental exposure, assembly, and repeat production.
EV charging components need plastic housings that protect electronics, support connectors, manage heat and moisture, and assemble consistently. Daremotion supports custom housing projects from DFM and mold tooling through sampling, inspection, protective packaging, and international shipping coordination.

Housing Features for EV Charging Assemblies
Typical requirements include connector openings, cable exits, snap fits, screw bosses, gasket channels, mounting points, shielding interfaces, and customer-visible surfaces. These features should be reviewed together with the electrical and environmental requirements.
Material Selection
ABS and PC/ABS may suit balanced appearance and impact needs. Polycarbonate can be considered for higher impact or temperature requirements. PA and other engineering plastics may be evaluated for strength, heat, or chemical exposure. Final resin grade, flame rating, color, and shrink behavior should be confirmed before tooling.
DFM Before Mold Tooling
Our DFM review covers wall thickness, draft angle, ribs, bosses, undercuts, parting lines, gates, ejection, shrinkage, and warpage. Connector faces, sealing areas, clips, and mounting interfaces should be identified as critical features before mold steel is cut.
Sealing and Assembly Interfaces
Gasket grooves, screw towers, snap fits, and mating surfaces can strongly influence mold design and tolerance strategy. Reviewing the complete assembly early helps reduce rework after sampling.
Tolerances and Quality Control
Critical dimensions are agreed from the functional drawing and CAD model. Samples and production parts can be inspected against defined requirements before shipment. Quality planning should include appearance, fit, sealing, material, and packaging checks where relevant.
Lead Time, Small Batches, and Logistics
Lead time depends on part geometry, mold complexity, resin, finish, quantity, and sample approval. We accept small-batch custom projects and can coordinate protective packaging and international freight through partner forwarders. DDP options can be discussed where suitable, with freight quoted separately.
Confidentiality and RFQ Preparation
An NDA can be arranged before quotation. Send STEP, IGES, or native CAD, drawings for critical dimensions, material preference, expected volume, finish, assembly requirements, and delivery destination.

FAQ
Can you support low-volume EV charging housings?
Yes. The appropriate tooling and production approach depends on geometry, material, quantity, and expected product life.
Can you review sealing features before tooling?
Yes. Gasket channels, mating surfaces, clips, and connector interfaces should be included in the early DFM review.
