Custom Plastic Housings for Industrial Control Panels

Industrial Control Equipment Applications

Daremotion manufactures custom injection molded plastic housings for industrial control panels, compact automation modules, sensor interfaces, and electrical control equipment. Our engineering team supports DFM review, mold tooling, low-volume validation, and repeat production from customer CAD files.

Built for Industrial Enclosures and Control Assemblies

Control panel housings

Protect PCB assemblies, terminals, displays, and switches with molded housings designed around mounting points, cable access, and service requirements.

Automation module covers

Use ribs, bosses, snap-fits, and inserts to support repeatable assembly without adding unnecessary wall thickness or tooling complexity.

Sensor and interface covers

Specify openings, sealing surfaces, and connector interfaces early so the housing works with the complete electrical assembly.

DFM Review for Injection Molded Housings

Wall thickness and material flow

We review nominal wall thickness, transitions, ribs, and bosses to reduce sink marks, warpage, weld-line risk, and uneven filling. Uniform sections generally make cooling and dimensional control easier.

Draft, parting lines, and ejection

Draft angles, shut-offs, slides, lifters, and the parting line are evaluated against the cosmetic and functional surfaces. This helps keep the tool maintainable while protecting the appearance of the finished enclosure.

Fasteners, inserts, and assembly interfaces

Share screw bosses, heat-set inserts, snap-fits, gasket lands, and connector cutouts in the RFQ. These details affect tool design, cycle time, inspection, and total piece cost.

Material Options

Common choices include ABS, PC, PC/ABS, PA, and flame-retardant grades where the electrical or environmental specification requires them. Material selection should consider impact resistance, heat exposure, chemical contact, UV exposure, surface finish, and required certification.

Send the target environment and required performance in the RFQ. We can review the material direction before tooling is released.

Tolerances and Quality Control

  • Critical mounting, connector, and sealing dimensions are identified from the drawing and assembly.
  • First-article and in-process checks can be aligned with the control plan and inspection records.
  • Cosmetic zones, texture, color, flash, sink, and visible weld lines are reviewed separately from non-critical surfaces.
  • Samples can be checked for fit before production quantities are released.

Tooling, Lead Time, and Shipping

Lead time depends on part size, cavity count, steel selection, mold complexity, finishing requirements, and the number of sample iterations. We provide a project schedule after reviewing the CAD files and production requirements. Small-batch validation is available before a larger production release.

We can coordinate export packaging and international freight through partner forwarders. DDP options can be discussed when the destination, shipment size, and delivery terms are confirmed; freight is quoted separately from manufacturing.

IP Protection and RFQ Support

For new control equipment, you may sign an NDA before sharing CAD files. A useful RFQ includes the 3D model, 2D drawing, material or flame-rating requirement, surface finish, annual volume, initial order quantity, target delivery location, and any assembly test requirement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you support low-volume custom plastic housings?

Yes. We can review prototype, pilot, and production quantities and recommend a tooling and validation path that fits the expected volume.

Can you review our housing design before quoting?

Yes. DFM review can cover wall thickness, draft, ribs, bosses, parting lines, ejection, and assembly interfaces before the quote is finalized.

Can you sign an NDA before receiving CAD files?

Yes. NDA arrangements can be discussed before project files are shared.

Can you handle export packaging and delivery?

We can coordinate packaging and international shipping through freight partners. Delivery terms, including possible DDP arrangements, are confirmed per destination and shipment.
